Your own time system, one switch
Turn on Private Timestamps for your organization and every Spiral stamp your pipeline produces is rotated by your organization's keys — records still behave like time (gaps, ordering, and recurring patterns stay measurable), but nothing in them reveals the day, month, or year. People and services holding your keys read exact certified times; everyone else sees valid-looking phase pairs with no calendar placement. Keys are created and rotated from the privacy area of your dashboard, per dataset or per sharing agreement.
Disclose scale by scale
Twelve rungs mean twelve independent keys — and that turns time privacy into a dial instead of a switch. Give an analytics partner the hour and day keys and they can align your events to time-of-day and weekday, study rush-hour patterns, and detect recurring behavior. Withhold the coarser keys and which week, month, or year any of it happened stays private. A flat Unix timestamp cannot be shared this way: shift it and every scale moves together; reveal it and everything is revealed at once.
